April 2006: Mestrando Sabiá of Grupo Ginga Mundo, Salvador, Bahia spent a week in Oxford training with Abolição Oxford Capoeira.  During his stay he led a variety of classes and workshops, which included both Angola and Regional styles of capoeira, maculele, rodas and an exclusive viewing of the latest documentaries about the history of capoeira and how it has spread across the world.

About Mestrando Sabiá: Mestrando Sabiá was Contra Mestre Negão's teacher for many years in Salvador.  Once World Champion in the Group Abada Championships, Mestrando Sabiá is still recognised as one of the best Capoeiristas on an international level.
