Abolição Oxford Capoeira

Our group was founded in England, in the city of Oxford on 27th September 1999.

Our philosophy is that of Capoeira Regional as created by Mestre Bimba.

Our group's president is Contra Mestre Luis Negão and our vice-president is Suzette (Onça Pintada).

We also have a team of students who work hard at making the group grow and develop. They are Bailarina, Dende, Dourado, Estrela, Leão, Mosqueteiro, Ruanda, Tubarão and Xaruto. They form the nucleus of Abolição Oxford Capoeira.

We would like to thank all the Mestres who pass on the positive, true and honest form of Capoeira.

A special thanks to Mestre Bamba and to Mestre Xaréu.
